A group of volunteers, including many from Vance Air Force Base, wielded gold shovels Tuesday morning as work on Waukomis Town Park got under way.
Community members and children gathered at the location for the old park to see the start of the new park.
Wheatland Resource Conservation and Development wrote a grant to get money for the park and was awarded a $24,500 grant from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation to purchase new playground equipment. read more...
