Vance Air Force Base is continuing to find new ways of conserving energy. One simple example is the 610,000-gallon insulated storage tank on base. Water is chilled at night to 35 degrees and then distributed to several surrounding buildings. This provides a less-expensive cooling method than conventional air cooling systems. (Courtesy Photo)
