Since he began his job as a T-38 simulator instructor at Vance Air Force Base in 1997, Thom Bushman has taught hundreds of student pilots.
Most of the faces are unfamiliar, but that wasn’t the case recently.
On June 9, Bushman stood in front of a Vance classroom filled with student pilots just beginning to learn the ins and outs of flying the T-38C Talon.
This class was unique in one respect — one of the young officers listening to Bushman’s lecture had been taught by him before.
