Doing their part

The old rhyme tells us that, “For want of a nail the shoe was lost, for one of a shoe the horse was lost,” and so on, ultimately leading to the loss of a kingdom.
In the case of aircraft maintenance at Vance Air Force Base, for want of a part, sorties are lost, thus putting a kink in the pilot training pipeline.
Keeping parts supplied to aircraft technicians charged with keeping the T-1A Jayhawk flying falls to the men and women in the Vance T-1 Contractor Operated and Maintained Base Supply, or COMBS, warehouse.
