Honigsberg receives awards at pageant

Emma Honigsberg, of Enid, was third runner-up at the recent National American Miss Oklahoma pageant in Tulsa.

Emma Honigsberg, of Enid, was third runner-up out of 42 girls at the recent National American Miss Oklahoma pageant in Tulsa.

Honigsberg, 13, is an eighth-grader at Oklahoma Bible Academy.

In addition to being third runner-up, she won the top model contest with a $300 prize package; won the runway contest with a $300 prize package; was first runner-up in casual wear; first runner-up in the actress contest; was third runner-up in photogenic; and fourth runner-up in the talent competition.

She also received a Spirit of America award and a portfolio award, along with a most promising model award. She was invited to go to nationals to compete in November in Hollywood, Calif.

She is currently Miss Majorette of Oklahoma in the intermediate division 13-15 and twirls with Enid Twirling academy. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Greg Hurlbutt and Michael and April Honigsberg.

Her activities include twirling, volleyball, track, cheerleading, choir, art and violin.
