There still is time to purchase tickets for the Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club’s annual R2 Memorial Dirt Drags.

Tickets purchased in advance are $50. At the gate the day of the event the cost will jump to $75. Kids under 12 get in free.

The club holds this event each year to raise money for the projects they participate in over the course of the year to give back to their community.

“Everything we do through the year helps towards our donation(s) to the Clinton Vet Center and helps us towards emptying Angel Trees and doing all that,” said Chapter H President Jimmy Kidd Jr.

The event is scheduled for June 20-23 near Sharon.

“It’s one mile east and half a mile south (from the intersection in Sharon),” said Kidd. “There will be lots of signs.”

The event kicks off June 20, with a free admission kids day/night. There will be bounce houses, kids games, music, movies, snow cones, hamburgers, hotdogs, popcorn, smores campfire and ghost stories.

June 21 will feature live music beginning around 4 p.m. including Little Skynyrd, Leroy Miller, Scattergun Tapedeck and Meloncholy.

June 22 will be the biggest day, according to Kidd, including the dirt drags, motorcycle games, kids games and live music from Quiet Riot.

On Sunday, Christian Motorcycle Association will lead a bike blessing and church services starting around 10 a.m.
