ENID, Okla. — The city of Enid announced Thursday that the surface repair work scheduled for the southbound lane of the 1700 block of North Oakwood has been postponed.

The work originally was slated for the early morning hours on a day this week, according to a city of Enid press release. The work now may be rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, according to the city.

The closure, when it occurs, is expected to last about six hours and will allow crews to complete surface repairs. Officials said there would be traffic control devices in place, along with flaggers to safely direct traffic during this effort.
