Youth and Family Services of North Central Oklahoma’s annual Project Santa program begins Thursday.

Each year, with the help of the community, Youth and Family Services provides Christmas gifts to the families of school-aged children who will have little or nothing for the holiday.

Last year, more than 300 children, selected by YFS licensed clinicians, received something special from Project Santa.

“Now is your chance to make a difference this Christmas for a child in need,” said Tree Perkins, director of development. “If your organization, church, or group would like to adopt a child or multiple children, we can provide you with their wish list.”

YFS asks that gifts be placed in gift bags and delivered to YFS no later than Dec. 12 to allow time to sort and deliver before the children are released from school for winter break.
